Michelle Moran

President

A South Carolina native, Michelle Moran serves as the President of The Single Mother Advancement Project. She has an extensive background in leadership and she facilitates inequality seminars locally and across the nation. An advocate of the Savannah-Chatham County Planning Commission, she works and consults with several professional and leadership teams, including numerous Presidents and Chief Executive Officers. She has authored articles and has lectured nationally on issues related to inequality and prejudices. Michelle also supports the Savannah Inequality in Leadership Survey (SILS) and the Savannah Executive Transition Initiative (SETI).

Before joining The Single Mother Advancement Project (THESMAP), Michelle used her business and

entrepreneurial acumen to develop the Tipsy Hues Paint and Sip franchise - voted Savannah's Best, 2023 and 2024. She currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer. Michelle does travel extensively to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations to assess their individual needs and opportunities, and she recommends plans to assist their growth and sustainability. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University, and she is a Hope Shining Blue nominee for the prestigious Wings Beneath Our Wings Award. Michelle is also a nominee for the American Mothers' esteemed "National Mother of the Year" award, and she serves on several community advisory committees and volunteers her time to local organizations. Michelle has a deep passion for charity work and is an active participant in various community service projects. Michelle is the author of best-sellers "From Broke to Boomin", "Dear FICO: F*ck You", and "Coupon Like a Boss". She is the founder of The Mommy Maven Group.
