“LESS THAN ONE PERCENT OF AMERICAN BUSINESSES ARE SINGLE MOTHERS OWNERS”

Single mother business owners and single mothers inspiring to become entrepreneurs need access to capital and funding more than ever before. So, The Single Mother Advancement Project (THESMAP) is doing just that - supporting single mother entrepreneurship and the businesses that have been hit the hardest because of social injustices and marginalization.

Our grants provide single mothers with the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of starting a new business. These grants not only offer financial support but also give a sense of empowerment and independence to these hardworking and unappreciated women. By taking advantage of these resources, single mothers can create successful businesses that benefit their families and communities.

The Single Mother Advancement Project (THESMAP) believes in single mothers - together, we can help make their dreams a reality...

The Single Mother Advancement Project’s (THESMAP’s) Small Business Grant also aims to assist entrepreneurs in obtaining vital business certifications, which are important to facilitate networking, business connections, and draw partnership opportunities with larger corporations and organizations. The goal is to provide a lifeline for small single mother businesses, which helps them sustain the growing economic impact in the communities they serve.
