The Single Mother Advancement Project (THESMAP) is a Nonprofit 501(c)(4), Nonconnected Super Political Action Committee (PAC), fighting to empower 1 billion single mothers, change policies, and to change lives to achieve more. We are a dedicated and battled-tested team of highly skilled professionals fighting to preserve the rights of single mothers in federal, state, and local courts, and the public, from marginalization, prejudices, and preferences. Together we can change the face of power, one single mother at a time.
The Single Mother Advancement Project (THESMAP), through the power of political engagement, is changing our economic, justice and political systems, and the public’s attitude towards single mothers. The Single Mother Advancment Project (THESMAP) galvanizes single mother voters to use their POWER to elect leaders that will help us fight for and defend the rights, promote the dignity, and to end the marginalization and obstracism of single mothers - the MOST marginalized and obstracized group in America!

Our Commitment
The Single Mother Advancement Project (THESMAP) is committed to restoring the rights of single mothers as the United States Constitution intended them to be. Through a combination of advocacy, education, and grass roots initiatives, we seek to eliminate single mother marginalization and ostracism. Social change often begins with legal change, so we use the power of the law and our vote to create enduring equality for single mothers everywhere.
